Council candidates' training day
Friday, 21st January 2011
UKIP is holding a training conference at Staffordshire County Council on January 29 for local council candidates.
Registration is from 9.30am (with 10am start) at the offices of Staffordshire County Council, St Chad's Place, Stafford ST16 2LR and will wrap up at 5pm.
Party Director Lisa Duffy said she was hoping for a strong turnout.
"We're organising the conference to help local council candidates build on their skills, to make them effective campaigners and to give them confidence and experience that they may be lacking," she said.
"I urge all our local council candidates to sign up."
The day will include media training, give attendees a chance to have input into the Party's local manifesto, offer the opportunity to debate in the council chamber and also provide time to quiz our team of UKIP local councillors.
The training day is free but there is a £10 charge for lunch payable in advance.
