Crackpot ideas on global warming

Someone should disabuse the Prince (with whom I did a minesweeping course, many years ago and for whom I have the utmost respect) of his crackpot ideas with regard to global warming. Observational fact is rapidly overtaking computer modelling and establishing that "global warming" stopped in 1998. We are now entering a cooling period very like the Dalton Minimum of 1793 to 1830. Our political leaders are going to get egg on their faces in the very near future and I would hate our future King to be associated with their discomfort. Nevertheless, I do support in principle Prince Charles's calls to save the rain forest and I believe that Nigel Farage showed considerable political courage in not joining in the standing ovation.
