UKIP's Diane James MEP slams Cameron for 'blundering from one desperate act to another':
"The Prime Minister keeps talking about the British national interest but has not once been able to outline what that even is. He talks about reform without saying what he actually could reform. He throws about the term renegotiation without explaining what he believes he can renegotiate. Well I think if the millions of British people who came out in support of UKIP in the last elections, or the third of voters who actually believe in renegotiation, were asked, the free movement of people would be at the top of that list.
"Cameron knows, the European Commission knows, and increasingly the voters know, that the big EU policies that affect the UK are simply not up for grabs. He may tinker around the edges and then spin it wildly in Parliament, blundering from one desperate act to another, but guess what, the people of Britain will not fall for it. Come on Prime Minister, for once just be honest with the UK."
