UKIP Leader, Nigel Farage to tour Great Yarmouth

Wednesday, 1st February 2012

Nigel Farage MEP

30 January 2012

Nigel Farage MEP, the Leader of the UK Independence Party will be spending the day in Great Yarmouth on Monday 6th February 2012 and will be giving a major speech at the Pavilion Theatre at a special public meeting at 7.30pm. During his visit to the town, he will address students at the East Norfolk Sixth Form College and will host a luncheon for local dignitaries at the Pub on the Prom. Guests will include Town Centre Partnership members and Great Yarmouth Tourist Authority Director, Malcolm Bird.

Mr Farage will then be touring the town and his itinerary will include the Pleasure Beach, the Time and Tide Museum, the Outer Harbour and the Super Casino. This will be followed by a buffet with local UKIP members, including Council candidate Matthew Smith. The evening meeting at the Pavilion Theatre, entitled: ‘An evening with Nigel Farage — why it is time to leave the EU’ is open to the public (free admission) and will begin at 7.30pm.

Mr Farage, who is widely regarded as the most charismatic and plain speaking politician in British politics, will be explaining why it is time for Britain to leave the European Union. He will tell Norfolk residents:

  • Why Britain can no longer afford to subsidise the wasteful and corrupt EU.
  • How the EU is destabilising the world economy and undermining Britain’s economic future.
  • How the unelected European Commission has come to be the real government of this country.
  • Why it is so important for the public to get behind the fight to save Britain from a very bleak future in the EU.

Mr Farage will share the platform with Stuart Agnew, who is UKIP’s MEP for the East of England and is, himself, a Norfolk resident.

Admission is free and all are welcome.
