A Daily Mail investigation has revealed that CAGE, the organisation that backed Jihadi John, was involved in at least 13 events last term at campuses across the country and is being given unchallenged platforms.
“It is outrageous that these events at our universities are being used to encourage young Muslim students to sabotage the government’s anti-extremism policy,” said Mr Nuttall, MEP, who is also Deputy UKIP Leader.
“I am absolutely furious that Moazzam Begg, the organisation’s outreach director, has been giving inflammatory lectures including claiming Muslims are being treated in a similar way to the Jews under the Nazis.
“This indoctrination is being allowed to go on at our universities where our students should be learning to think rationally and critically and not be subjected to twisted chilling dogma.
“It is ironic that at the same time objections are raised to people such as the feminist Germaine Greer speaking to students.
“Events backed by extreme Islamist groups filled with anti-Western rhetoric must be banned. The future of our country lies in the hands of our young people and we cannot stand back and allow their minds to be corrupted by evil,” said Mr Nuttall.
