UKIP Leader Paul Nuttall MEP said, "These figures just go to show that you can't trust the Tories to bring down immigration.
"This is an abject failure not just by the Government in general but by the Prime Minister in particular.
"After six and a half years of Tory rule, we still have net migration running at more than 300,000. Another city the size of Hull added to our population. More pressure on housing, schools and the NHS.
"The PM is called Theresa May. Sometimes I wonder if she has a secret twin called Theresa May Not. Because she never seems to deliver - on immigration, on Brexit or on anything".
UKIP Immigration Spokesman John Bickley said, "Despite years of promises to get immigration down to 'tens of thousands' the Tories' record under Theresa May as Prime Minister, and previously as Home Secretary, has been a history of failure.
"Everything that UKIP have said is coming true, particularly in reference to the number of those coming from Bulgaria and Romania.
"We cannot control our borders as members of the EU, that much is crystal clear. What is also completely clear is that Theresa May's promises on Brexit have to be seen in the same way as her promises on immigration.
"We need a clean Brexit as soon as possible, and when the Foreign Secretary tells the public he is in favour of Brexit, but in private allegedly says he’s in favour of EU freedom of movement, it’s clear you can’t trust the Tories to deliver it."
