UKIP Deputy Leader Paul Nuttall says the publication of damning new figures, which show two thirds of Britain’s laws are being made or influenced by the EU, are further evidence that the impotent ConDem coalition is failing UK businesses.
A new study, by Business for Britain, found that EU regulations and directives accounted for just over 59 per cent of all UK law.
Commenting on the study today, UKIP Deputy Leader Paul Nuttall said the figures were further proof that the EU was pulling the strings of the puppet ConDem coalition.
Mr Nuttall said: “Cast Iron Dave is a political Pinocchio who spouts eurosceptic platitudes while his EU masters are truly pulling his strings.
“The Coalition Government is failing to stand up for British businesses which are being increasingly shackled and stifled by EU regulations and red tape.
“Every day our sovereignty is being eroded. Our laws should be made in Westminster and not by interfering EU pen pushers.”
