About Scotland
UKIP Scotland are committed to Great Britain withdrawing from The European Union in order that the people of our once great nation can once more govern themselves without the interference of the unelected E.U. commissioners and apparatchiks in Brussels. The E.U. impacts every area of our lives from Immigration, Welfare, Defence, Foreign Policy, Energy, Environment even down to how straight bananas must be and what light bulbs you are allowed to use.
To have this undemocratic institution imposing all these rules and regulations on us Great Britain pays £45,000,000.00 every single day for the privilege of being dictated to.
All the main parties, The Conservatives, Labour, Lib Dems and the SNP all favour further E.U. integration and interference. Even those champions of "independence", The SNP, would like to break up Great Britain and get rid of rule from Westminster only to hand over that freedom to Brussels. It is a strange independence when you trade one so called foreign power for another.
Another thing the SNP would not like you to know about The E.U. is that the E.U. does not even recognise Scotland as a country, they see Scotland as a region and The Scottish Parliament as nothing more than a regional assembly.
The UK Independence Party are the fourth largest party in Great Britain and, after the British people said enough is enough at the polls, became the second largest party representing Britain in Europe.
UKIP Scotland believes that the people of this nation should be free to govern themselves by Swiss style direct democracy and would like to devolve power back to the people.
UKIP enthusiastically support the celebration of Scotland and Scottish culture by encouraging the teaching of Gaelic languages and histories in England, Scotland, [Northern] Ireland, Wales and Cornwall, and support local and area heritage across the UK and would like to end the climate of political correctness and restore a pride in Britishness in an inclusive and tolerant manner for all.
UKIP Scotland continue to go from strength to strength and the next big challenge facing the party will be the Scottish Election in May 2011. If you want a party that really will put our citizens first and does want independence then there can only be one option on May 5th and that is The UK Independence Party.
