"THE GREAT IMMIGRATION SCANDAL" Book

Author: Steve Moxon | Available in: Hardback
Price: £8.95
Availability: Out of stock
On March 8th 2004 Steve Moxon was suspended on full pay from his job as a Home Office immigration caseworker having blown the whistle on widespread abuse (and cover-up) of the government's policy of 'Managed Migration'. His revelations in the Sunday Times led to the resignation of immigration minister Beverley Hughes.
In this book Moxon outlines the events that led to the decision that he could no longer participate in a policy that appeared to be at odds with the intentions of Parliament. The book includes an extensive analysis of the relevant scholarly literature in demography, economics and evolutionary psychology.
"An outspoken account of life in the front line of immigration control. It lifts the lid, not only on the chaos in the Home Office, but on what the author describes as its "progressive institutional failure to apply the immigration rules". Mr Moxon, an intelligent and courageous man, put it squarely to his minister that "the Home Office was not concerned with the proper management of cases but with the creation of statistics in the interests of the Labour government". The reader may come to a similar conclusion"
