TG_Graham_Snell.jpg-pwrt3.jpgLast night Thurrock Council voted to support a motion from Cllr Graham Snell that Thurrock is better off outside the EU. The motion was passed 22 to 13.

UKIP Thurrock Group Leader, Cllr Graham Snell said: "Outside the EU, Thurrock Council, like everyone else in the UK, will be free from endless regulations. We should be allowed to support small businesses in the local community rather than EU rules forcing us towards over priced contracts with big multinationals.

"The current directives coming through on ports will damage our local industries which are currently thriving.

"We will also save billions of pounds a year by leaving the EU, this money can be used to reverse the governments severe cuts to local authorities."
