UKIP: Keep London Black Cab Attacker Behind Bars For Life

Published Feb 04, 2018

It has emerged in the past two days that female victims of horrific sex crimes have had to hire lawyers to fight a courageous and costly battle to keep London Cab sex attacker, John Worboys, behind bars.

Late last year they were not informed that Worboys was about to be released by the Parole Board. He was jailed 'indefinitely' in 2009 for sexually assaulting 12 female passengers between 2002 and 2008.

Richard Bingley, UKIP's Home Affairs spokesperson said:

We need a Justice system that serves the victim, not the criminal. The Parole Board chairman should be dismissed for issuing no prior warning, and Worboys should remain in jail until he is carried out in a coffin."

Mr Bingley has campaigned for much longer prison sentences for serious violent, sexual or terrorist offenders.

He added:

"Early release doesn't work with violent offenders. Public safety and deterrence must be prioritised. When I see so many cases like this, I fear we are beginning to walk into social anarchy and legal meltdown. Let's reassert the right of civil society to live in security and free from fear.”
