Thurrock_Councillors052616_72.jpgThis week UKIP Thurrock Councillors have been visiting local schools for democracy week. Cllr David Potter, Cllr Angela Sheridan and Cllr Graham Hamilton attended Ockendon Academy. Cllr Jack Duffin attended St Clere's School. Tomorrow Cllr Angela Sheridan will be visiting the Harris Academy.

UKIP Thurrock's Education Spokesman, Cllr Angela Sheridan said: "It was great to visit our local schools this week. I was very impressed with our students and the schools that I visited.

"We have some incredibly bright and promising students who will make fantastic Councillors in the future. It's great to see people of all ages engaging in politics and holding Councillors to account.

"It's important to get as many people to engage with politics in Thurrock as possible. In Thurrock your vote truly counts, it was only by a single vote that UKIP missed out of becoming Thurrock's largest party in May."
