2025 NEC Elections
Thank you for considering applying in the 2025 NEC elections!
The process is very straightforward, and all-electronic (saving paper and wet-ink signatures).
Before going further, please note that:
- This page is best viewed on a desktop browser.
- There are nine NEC vacancies this year:
- 4 x 3 year terms (i.e. next falling vacant in Oct. 2028).
- 1 x 2 year terms (i.e. next falling vacant in Oct. 2027).
- 4 x 1 year term (i.e. next falling vacant in Oct. 2026).
- As has been standard in recent years, the NEC have made specific one-off amendments to section P of the rule-book for this election, as detailed below:
- Candidates require a proposer and seconder from existing members. NB: They may only nominate
one applicant.
- Candidates must have been party members for at least 6 months prior to date of application.
- Candidates who are current NEC members will need to have attended TWO meetings recently - contact the Returning Officer for clarification if necessary before applying.
- The candidacy fees for this election is £50 which is non-refundable, except for any candidate who fails vetting.
- Notification of the vacancies will be published on:
- UKIP.ORG (this page)
- Activists' WhatsApp group
- UKIP Mailchimp distribution list
- Instructions on how to login and vote will be shared by an A4 printed letter sent to the membership.
- Candidacy materials will include anything that can reasonably be published on an electronic ballot paper, or supporting hyperlinks, providing the RO has approved in advance.
To get started, you will need to fill out the form below, accepting all the opt-ins, and pay the candidacy fee.
Once the form is submitted, you will be contacted by:
- The vetting team regarding websites and social media etc. accounts.
- The web team regarding materials for your candidacy (pictures, videos, text etc.)
As per P.3.1 of the rules, I declare that the agreed deadlines (BST) are:

11pm, Friday 21st November | Draft ballot paper shared with candidates. |

10pm, Saturday 29th November | E-Voting closes. |
Sunday 30th November | Ballot result published on UKIP.ORG |
